Elizabeth (Ying) Zhong, 55, was reported missing in eastern Manukau counties.
A body was found during the search for an Auckland businesswoman who had been reported missing.
The body was located in Sunnyhills on Saturday afternoon. The identification has not yet been confirmed.
Police are treating the death as inexplicable and an investigation is underway.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Sunday.
