Bachelor NZ: Hometown dates range from sublime to downright awkward

[ad_1]

It was home visiting day tonight. Single, and the first of all started quite awkwardly.

Who was? Annie took Moses to meet her family in Dunedin. Annie’s family seems nice enough, but judging by the size of that house, they are extremely wealthy, and as Moses pointed out, that’s a very different upbringing than what he’s used to.

However, did they all get along? Even though Annie’s brother questioned Moses, it seemed to go well for the most part, and Moses and Annie, always the lovebirds, shared a very romantic, rain-soaked kiss afterward. I still think that these two seem to have something really special, and Annie is a sweetheart, but I will say that her family’s conversation seemed quite forced; They weren’t very generous when Moses was trying to pick out some talking points for them.

Like what? Well, I know I wasted the Tarot cards on one of these summaries, but if someone told me they had gone to a reading, I wouldn’t give them the stone faces that Moses received from Annie’s family. I’d be a decent person and ask how you did!

Seeing him with these good girls, you might think Moses is here to find his dog, Merch, a love match.

Then Moses jumped out to Queenstown to meet Lana’s parents. True to Lana’s character, this seemed very easy and relaxing for Moses, and it was very easy and relaxing to watch. Even that helicopter ride over jagged mountains was somewhat comforting. I haven’t spent much time in Queenstown, and I feel like I used to think that growing up there was like what we saw in Top of the lake, but that’s a long way from Lana’s beautiful home, and her parents were honestly icons. My favorite moment from this episode was Lana’s mom saying she was happy with Moses because if she goes out with her daughter, she can take her backstage at Sol3 Mio concerts. Legendary behavior.

If Lana is anything like her mother, then crown her queen and be done with it.

And finally Shenae. This led Moses to Auckland, where he did a painting class with Shenae, which was joined by another third wheel. But I would say that the painting teacher was the best of the season; she looked fun and i want to take her class and make swirl patterns too. Later, Shenae introduced Moisés to her three best friends and her aunt, a more emotional experience for her since she lost both of her parents. It was all quite charming despite that sadness, and it’s wonderful to see that Shenae has a loving and sweet support network around her. Also, always trust a woman who has a close gay friend.

Bringing Moses home was a very emotional moment for Shenae.

Who went home? Chanel decided to leave emotionally at the beginning of the episode, saying that she was not ready to introduce Moses to her family. Chanel is a hunter, and while this was all a bit intense (as emotional as it is, from our perspective, we’re still watching the dumbest reality show in the world), I’m so glad she was able to take a bow. on their own terms. It was also very sweet to hear her talk about her late brother, who felt like she had been with her when she shared a beautiful moment with Moses on their date earlier this season.

The others were devastated. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: sisterhood between single women is the most beautiful thing that has happened this season. Shenae, Annie, and Lana were so upset about Lou and Chanel’s departure, and it was comforting to know that the two departed had been so important to the household.

On that note, It was also sweet to hear Moses describe how the whole house had been drawn to Shenae and felt close to her; I feel like you can really feel that through the screen. She seems like the kind of friend you really want to have on every stage – perfect for an after work drink and a report when you’ve had a stressful day, perfect for a Friday night, perfect for a movie marathon on Sunday afternoon. , and just great talk overall. I’m a fan.

Three endings, all. We are almost at the end, which means that everyone who loves to comment on how terrible they think this show is will have to find another place to vent (yes, I’ve been reading them; you guys are excited!) Until next time.
