The shooting incident is the fourth of its kind since Friday, where a firearm was fired at a home in Auckland.

Police are investigating after a house was shot at in West Auckland.

The incident, on Archibald Rd in Kelston, was reported to police at 5:20 p.m. Saturday.

Police said no one was injured after a firearm was fired and the circumstances are still being investigated.

The shooting is the fourth of its kind in Auckland since Friday.

Police could not confirm if he had any connection to the previous shootings in south Auckland.

Previous incidents in Ōtara – two on Friday night where cars were wrecked and two houses shot at at the corner of Capstick and Ivons Rd, and another on Saturday on Preston Rd – are believed to be gang related.

Armed police were visible outside the Preston Rd property and police said they would increase their presence in the area as they investigate.

“We recognize that this type of incident is of concern to our community and we take these reports very seriously,” a police spokesman said Saturday.

Officers were called to a home around 2.24 pm after receiving reports of a firearm discharge.

One person sustained minor, unrelated injuries and did not need medical attention.
