Just Cuts at Westfield St Lukes Shopping Center said that the Auckland Regional Public Health Service considered everyone else in the hall at the time to be just casual contacts.

“Therefore, they have a very low risk of contracting the disease,” the salon said of casual contacts.

The Health Ministry said this afternoon that a case had visited the room on September 17 from 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Just Cuts said it introduced additional cleaning and contactless payment measures in all classrooms.

All stylists and clients also wear masks, the salon said.

The hall said the Auckland Regional Public Health Service confirmed that proper hygiene measures had been implemented.

The salon will reopen tomorrow after a deep cleaning.

It comes after the Health Ministry said today that three cases of Covid-19 in the community traveled to Taupō between September 18 and 20. While in town, they met 18 people who traveled from the Bay of Plenty, Wellington, Christchurch, and Hamilton.

In addition to those 18 people, 13 other people have been identified as close contacts, the Health Ministry said.

All 31 contacts have been or will be tested, and all are isolated.

In addition to the lounge, the trio also visited the following places while it was contagious:

People who visited the sites during those times are urged to monitor their health and get tested if they develop symptoms.
