“It’s weird, who would send a hamburger without the chicken? I could understand if they were wrong, but this one had nothing,” Luzki said. NZ Herald.
Her frustrated son decided she would get her fast food from Fish and Chippery on Richmond Rd, while she expressed her frustration on social media.
Before her son could afford his chicken burger, Gray Lynn’s business sniffed out the sorry excuse for a McDonald’s burger and refused to let him pay for his substitute meal.
“We went to pay and the owner said, ‘no, the kid won’t run out of food for dinner,’ and gave the order free. They gave my son a chicken burger and fries and they refused to accept any payment.” . Luzki told him NZ Herald.
Luzki filed a complaint with McDonald’s, which offered an initial apology and said they would be back in contact within seven business days.
