The laces have been lifted and people are allowed to return to Auckland Airport’s domestic passenger terminal after it was evacuated on Sunday morning.

Police said the area had been cordoned off after 9 a.m. as a precaution after a concerning item was discovered in a bathroom.

A man who was supposed to fly at 10 a.m. said they were all told to evacuate, with no information on why.
