The Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’s teaser stream that ran basically all day today concluded with another teaser for tomorrow, and it looks like this is the biggest one. Ubisoft will hold a full reveal event for the next game on Thursday, April 30 at 8 a.m. PT / 11 a.m. ET / 4 p.m. BT / 5 p.m. CET.
Today’s broadcast was essentially a time lapse for a work of art (done by renowned illustrator BossLogic) illustrating the themes of the game, and while it was extremely long and worn, it confirmed and highlighted a few key things. Most importantly, we have a name for the thing. And as rumor mill has suggested for what seems like years, the next Assassin’s Creed game is indeed about the Vikings. The art shown on the broadcast features Viking ships, axes, and most importantly, beards, so put on your toughest helmet and prepare to loot.
Speaking of Viking ships: the prominence of ships on the left side of the art could suggest that this Viking Assassin’s Creed will revisit the navigation game that really started in Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. Assassin’s Creed has never completely abandoned navigation, but has not traveled the legs of the sea since Black Flag. Vikings are synonyms for sailing and sea raids, just ask the destroyed castle in the art of the current, so this would be the perfect opportunity for the series to return to the depths of the sea with a focus on naval combat .
A last fact appeared near the end of the current with the arrival of a crow, which also seems to be the base of the crest of any Viking clan to which our protagonist belongs. However, that’s all we know at the moment, and some of that is speculation anyway. We will have to wait until tomorrow before reaching difficult conclusions about the next Assassin’s Creed, but it is still exciting to know that another entry is on the way. Perhaps a Viking theme produces a worthy follow-up to Odyssey’s Greek escapades.
We’ve also been on the lookout for any information we can find in this year’s entry, so here is all about Assassin’s Creed 2020
