Another mysterious monolith has appeared randomly in another corner of the world, this time in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
CBS Pittsburgh reports that this new apparently metal structure was found outside Grandpa Joe’s Candy Shop in the city’s Strip District. It is unknown who (or what) erected the structure.
The first strange monolith appeared in a remote desert area in Utah. It was discovered by the federal wildlife services that they were (literally) counting sheep.
The crew viewed the gleaming object from a helicopter, landing to investigate further. Several days later, the monolith disappeared without a trace.

But the Utah monolith was just the beginning. Not long after, another monolith was seen near an archaeological site in the hills of Romania. This one, however, had curly carvings decorating its surface. This monolith also disappeared days later, leaving nothing but a hole in the ground.
Nor did it stop in Romania. A third monolith appeared in California on top of Pine Mountain in a park in Atascadero. Guess what? That one also disappeared a few days later.
However, the cause of the California monolith’s disappearance was more earthly than not: the structure was allegedly torn down by a group of young people who were seen dismantling through an online video.
Each structure has been estimated to be between 3 and 3.5 meters high. What it is made of exactly is anyone’s guess.
At the time of writing, the Pittsburgh monolith has not yet disappeared.
