A man from upstate New York in the United States spent 10 hours trapped in his car after a snowplow buried his vehicle under four feet (about 1.2 m) of snow, authorities said.
Police received multiple 911 calls Thursday (local time) about a driver hitting the road across the state.
Route 17C and needed help in Owego, a city in western New York just a few miles from the Pennsylvania border, authorities said.
However, despite several attempts to find the car, no one was able to locate it. New York State Police Sgt. Jason Cawley learned of the calls and went to find the missing vehicle.
As he was driving, he saw multiple mailboxes sticking out of the snow stacked along the side of the road, authorities said. He dug in the snow to check directions and suddenly discovered a window.
