But Thomas didn’t look out of place on defense, coming out with a well-deserved goal after rookie Richard Ledezma attacked him on the edge of the area in the 84th minute.
The 25-year-old Thomas fired a powerful right-footed shot away from ADO den Haag goalkeeper Luuk Koopmans to make it 3-0.
It was Thomas’ first goal for PSV since February, when he headed in against ADO Den Haag.
Monday’s 4-0 win brought PSV to third place in the Eredivisie standings, two points behind leaders Ajax.
