All Blacks winger George Bridge is out of the second round of the Bledisloe Cup against the Wallabies, and all of rugby for about six months, after sustaining a chest injury in training.
The All Blacks camp tweeted late Thursday that the injury had occurred during “field training” on Wednesday, although details were scant.
“George Bridge will be out of rugby for up to six months after sustaining a chest injury in field training yesterday. It will be evaluated over the next 48 hours to determine the next course of action, ”the tweet read.
Bridge is understood to have injured a pectoral muscle.

Bridge played the entire first Test in Wellington on Sunday, the left wing playing a pivotal role in running back Aaron Smith’s try.
