Police released the name of the woman who died in an accident on State Highway 2 last week.
Karen Diane Chandler, 67, of Hawke’s Bay, died after the accident near Henderson Rd, Pahiatua, on Friday, March 26.
In a press release, the police said that the investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
They expressed their condolences to Chandler’s family and friends.

Police previously said that the accident, which involved a truck and a four-wheel drive van towing a caravan, occurred around 5:20 p.m.
They confirmed that Chandler, who was in the ute, died at the scene.
An online death notice said that Chandler was the mother of two and the grandmother of one.
“A special person for all who loved her, we will miss her sadly and she will always be in our hearts,” she said.
A memorial service will be held at Morrison’s Funeral Home in Henderson on Thursday.
