A Las Vegas woman in the US was arrested after she allegedly fatally shot her husband while on video chat.
On March 22, around 11 p.m. local time, 36-year-old Jourell Ng was on a call at his home when he was shot. His 37-year-old wife Emily Ikuta reportedly tried to make his death look like an accident. Las Vegas Magazine. Now he faces a murder charge.
Ikuta reportedly called 911 and said that he had gone out for a walk with his dog and returned to find Ng face down on the ground and that he was having trouble breathing.
She said it appeared she had been shot, according to the arrest report. She told authorities that her husband may have been cleaning his gun and accidentally shot himself, saying he found the gun near his body and then kept it in a closet. A neighbor said he heard the couple arguing just before the shooting.

Detectives said their account of the events did not match the evidence. “Under the body of [Ng] there was no large accumulation of blood that was expected to [Ng] he was found face down, as Ikuta said he had found him, ”detectives wrote.
When investigators found supplies to clean weapons, it did not appear they had been used. The trajectory of the bullet that struck Ng and killed him did not travel at the angle it should have if it had been fired while cleaning his weapon.
The arrest report also reveals that someone said he was “in a live chat with [Jourell Ng] during the time of his murder ”and telephoned the police to inform them of what they heard during the incident.
“They informed the detectives who heard [Ng’s] dog barking in the background of the call, before hearing a slapping noise that they believed was a gunshot, ”police wrote.
It appears that a GoFundMe appeal has been established for funeral service costs, which reads: “Jourell Ng, aka booboo to many of us, was a beloved member of our gaming community, he never stopped brightening our day and providing us with lots of good memories and laughs. He was taken from us too soon and our community will not be the same without him. “
