A MediaWorks radio host resigned from one of the company’s biggest shows.

The media personality submitted his resignation Monday and it was accepted effective immediately, MediaWorks confirmed to the Herald.

Images and references to the host are no longer visible on the MediaWorks website.

The resignation comes after two staff members were removed amid an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment.

It is understood that the two men had not worked for more than a week.

MediaWorks announced on March 14 that it had begun an investigation into the allegations related to its business.

It also announced that it would hire an independent investigator to conduct a comprehensive review of historical events and its current workplace culture and events. On March 19, Maria Dew QC was appointed to conduct this independent investigation.

The news came just over a week after the allegations came to light, when claims were made against one of the men on a social media page that encourages women to share their work experiences in the music industry. .

One woman wrote that the man had “been around always scaring people.”

Another commented that she had had “some run-ins” with him and that she would not feel comfortable being left alone with him.

After the allegations were made, MediaWorks confirmed that it would hire an independent investigator to conduct a review of the allegations posted online.

The company’s director of people and culture, Alex Nicholson, also sent an email to all staff.

In the email, Nicholson said the online posts were “a call to action” for people to share stories of possible incidents, bullying or harassment.

“I want to remind you that we have a confidential internal process here at MediaWorks if you ever wanted to report something that concerns you.

“You can be sure that everything that is reported through this channel will be analyzed and treated confidentially.”

A statement issued at the time read: “This week, a social media account has posted allegations against people in the local media and music industries.

“As a result, MediaWorks immediately contacted staff to remind them of the support channels available to them and the ways they can present themselves and report any concerns confidentially.”

The company also acknowledged that any necessary action would be taken.

“Where there is evidence of misconduct, appropriate action will be taken.”
