“Have they forgotten?” Cirrus wonders as the girls struggle to buy time with Moses instead of leaving her alone. Photo / TVNZ
It’s been a whole 24 hours since we left the suspense last night, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next.
Prepare to gasp because Moses was rejected in tonight’s episode. Shocking, I know. And even more shocking, he was rejected by a girl he liked for ten years. Siri plays Olivia Rodrigo’s Driver’s License because we need to cry.
Surprisingly, rejection was not a bad thing in the end.
After a few anxious minutes, Cirrus had some coveted time alone with the handsome bach, but the whole situation felt like that time Mom put you in touch with her neighbor’s son and yes, it was a little awkward.
Later, Moses asked Shenae, “Do you want to get out of here?” And it reminded me of someone asking you to leave a party just when it was getting good to “chat.” Reader: It is never just a talk.
There was no time to waste, so potential lovebirds crammed their life stories into a conversation that lasted less than five minutes.
Shanae shared the tragic story of losing her parents five months apart and my heart broke. Despite his sad experiences, he acted as strong as ever. Behavior of the queen.
Then Art made an appearance, adding some spice to the night with a rose ceremony.
Lou already had her rose, and Negin and Lana did the same. A pattern is emerging. After 10 million pauses, Moses reveals that Cirrus and Kayla were the last two – And * drum roll * the rose went to Kayla.
“The order of the roses does not affect who I am or my worth.” Absolutely true, Kayla, although being between the latter two has to be a stressful experience.
After every drop there is a halt, so from the tense rose ceremony, we headed for a single date with the beautiful Shenae.
Moses revealed that they were going sailing and just when Shenae thinks she’s having the best date of her life, a third wheel (instructor) arrived.
The date was full of cheeky jokes and flirty comments, but it’s the mansion that catches my eye, specifically the connecting circle that includes everything to do with essential oils, hot chocolate, and meditation. Did we accidentally stumble upon a Goop convention?
Steph talks to the confession chamber and makes us laugh about the hot chocolate, “It tastes like being ripped off by a chocolate bar.”
Fortunately, dinner for Moses and Shenae is much better. They took pleasure in the oysters as well as their deepest thoughts on life and sparks fly.
Shenae’s diary will find out about all this later.
“There is a deeper connection to me and Shenae, I’m not going to put a label on it.”
My God, why not? Come on, Moses, I wanted a clue.
A giddy Shenae skipped back into the mansion and received an unexpected icy welcome.
“I think we were all a little above how perfect Shanae is.” Kimi, please take off those bad girl pants and put them in the closet. Collaborate, don’t compete, remember?
Here we go with the group date and Moses brought in Paul, who, he reveals, is the next potential bachelor.
Negin fell in love instantly, but it’s Sam, Chanel, Devaney, and Kayla who set the group date.
The goal? The best dish receives the date.
Neither girl is good at cooking so this could have been a hilarious disaster, but they do pull off the domestic goddess vibes even with a few hiccups.
Devaney says, “I’ll probably throw up if something comes out of him,” referring to the fish, and I cried, laughing because I would have felt the same.
Kimi has a real scream at the mansion because she hasn’t had much time with Moses and Negin says “I can’t deal with this.”
Wow, it was like watching you play every Saturday night when your best friend is crying over a boy who doesn’t like her.
Kimi, I wish I could have walked through my TV screen and reassured you in that moment.
Back in “which plate is dated”, Sam is the winner.
Moses asks Sam who he thinks the top five contenders are and, like the angel that he is, he decided to call Kimi in hopes that this would cause Moses to spend time with her. And then the cheeky bachelor asked who would be in the bottom three, disregarding the fact that he is the bachelor and should be the one to find out this information for himself.
Sam named Dev, Chanel and Negin, but cautioned, “If any of the last three go home tonight, we’ll be talking.” A great insurance policy if I ever heard one, although “having words” was a very cryptic threat.
Before we knew it, it was time for another cocktail and everyone was dressed to the nines.
Kimi said: “If the opportunity presents itself, great, if not, great.” Wait honey. You can’t cry about not having time with Moses and then taking a passive approach. Choose a strategy.
Moses noticed that she was acting a bit quiet and unknowingly says the worst possible.
“Kimi, do you want to go home?”
It wouldn’t be TV without a few tears, and come back tomorrow night to find out what happens next.
