A young man who pulled down his shorts during a live report on the New Zealand tsunami warning failed to make his bare butt news.

The man was on the screen during TVNZ’s live coverage of the tsunami warning in Whakatāne, Bay of Plenty, following the 8.1 earthquake in the Kermadec region, when he decided to take off his shorts and show it all on screen .

Except it failed.

The man misjudged his angle and positioned himself right behind the reporter, whose body involuntarily shielded everyone from seeing the man’s buttocks at random.
