Green zone flights from New Zealand to Australia are back as of Sunday.
The trans-Tasmania one-way travel bubble is back in business since Sunday, but anyone who’s been to Auckland should have a recent negative test.
The resumption of quarantine-free flights from 12:01 am Australian Eastern Time Sunday was announced by the country’s medical director, Professor Paul Kelly, on Saturday night.
They were suspended following the emergence of several new cases of Covid-19 in the community in Auckland.
“All passengers traveling from New Zealand on a Green Zone flight, who have been in Auckland for any period (except the airport for travel) during the last 14 days, will need to provide evidence at the check-in of a Test PCR carried out within 72 hours after the scheduled departure of the flight, “the statement said.” Routine control will continue before departure and upon arrival.

Australia’s Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly previously announced a 72-hour suspension of the New Zealand travel bubble.
Kelly said the situation in New Zealand shows that the recent cases identified there pose a low risk of spreading the virus in Australia.
“The [Australian Health Protection Principal Committee] AHPPC monitors the situation in many places and will continue to advise on a variety of decisions in the interest of the health of all Australians, ”said Kelly.
“These decisions are not easy and we do not take them lightly, and all AHPPC members appreciate the continued patience and flexibility of Australians and New Zealanders, including those in the travel and tourism industry.”

Air New Zealand flight NZ941 departed at 7.43am Cook Islands local time and landed in Auckland at 11.06am.
The committee met on Saturday and received information from Kiwi health officials, according to the statement.
The conditions will apply until midnight on March 1 Australian Eastern Time.
Anyone intending to fly domestically was asked to verify the restrictions in the state of their final destination.
Victoria’s fast block ended Wednesday night, around the same time that Auckland went from level three to level two.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade has been contacted for comment.
