Axar Patel won 5-60 when India beat England by 317 runs in the second cricket test to level the four-game series 1-1.
Patel became the ninth Indian bowler to take a five-wicket course in the test debut when England were eliminated by 164 runs in the second inning and on the fourth day on Tuesday.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the last Indian spinning pitcher to accomplish the feat, winning 6-47 against the West Indies in 2011-12.
Ashwin took 3-53 in the second inning of this match and finished with an eight wicket as well as a century in the second inning for India.

Kuldeep Yadav took 2-25 as the Indian spinners accounted for all 10 wickets in the second inning and 17 wickets in the test overall.
Moeen Ali scored the most for England with 43 of 18 balls, including five sixes.
Joe Root scored 33.
England won the first round, also in Chennai, by 227 runs.
