Elliot Page has filed for divorce from his wife Emma Portner in court in New York, Page six has reported.
Court documents filed in the Manhattan Supreme Court show the Juno The actor filed for a contested divorce, meaning that the parties involved do not agree to the terms of the divorce, on January 26.

Elliot Page and Emma Portner secretly tied the knot in 2018 after dating for six months.
In December of last year, Page announced that she is transgender and Portner spoke out publicly to support her partner.
“Trans, queer and non-binary people are a gift to this world,” Portner said in an Instagram post.
“I also ask for your patience and privacy, but that you accompany me in fervently supporting trans life every day. Elliot’s existence is a gift in itself. Shine on sweet E. I love you so much. “

The couple secretly tied the knot in 2018 after dating for six months.
“I can’t believe I can call this extraordinary woman my wife,” Elliot wrote in the time of Portner, who is a contemporary jazz dancer and teacher who has performed and choreographed routines for Justin Bieber.
