The Health Ministry has revealed the list of places visited by a Northland woman who tested positive for Covid-19 after emerging from managed isolation.
The list includes nearly 30 supermarkets, clothing and electronics stores, cafes, restaurants, a gallery, a plant center, a museum, a pharmacy, a vehicle testing station and a tavern.
Covers a period from January 14, the day after you left MIQ, to January 22, the day you were tested after developing symptoms seven days earlier.
Includes locations in Whangarei, Ruakaka, Parua Bay, Mangawhai Heads, and Helensville.
The Health Ministry said that anyone who visited the sights during relevant times is considered to have a low risk of exposure, but should isolate themselves and call Healthline to find out when and where to get tested.
“Our current advice is that while there is a low risk of exposure, as a precaution, we ask people to stay home and get screened if they visited these locations during the relevant hours and to call Healthline to stay home. until you receive a negative test result. “
Covid-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins and Chief Health Officer Dr. Ashley Bloomfield held a press conference at the Beehive this afternoon to provide more details on the community case.
The full list of locations is available below.
Bloomfield said the woman was “assiduous in using the Covid tracking app.”
Ministry officials were contacting the places where she had been and would put information on their website as soon as they were informed about those places.
The 56-year-old had completed MIQ at Auckland’s Pullman Hotel, where she twice tested negative for the virus, before leaving controlled isolation on January 13 and traveling to her home south of Whangārei.
He also visited about 30 locations in South Northland, including cafes, restaurants and tourist attractions in areas around Mangawhai, Dargaville and Helensville, before developing mild symptoms on January 15.
She did not associate the symptoms with Covid-19, but when they got worse, she took a test on January 22, the Health Ministry said.
The woman was at home and did not need hospital care.
If someone has symptoms, wherever they are in New Zealand, they should get tested, Bloomfield said at the news conference.
Hipkins said in Northland that anyone who receives a push notification should get tested, especially if they have symptoms.
The Ministry of Health reported today eight new cases of Covid in isolation administered since Friday.
Two came from South Africa, two from the United States and one from the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and India.
Four traveled through the United Arab Emirates and Malaysia.
