The partner of a man who was killed in an accident in Christchurch says his family is “truly heartbroken” and cannot forgive anyone responsible.
Benjamin Simon Furze, 29, was killed in a car accident on Russley Rd, between Johns Rd and the Memorial Ave exit ramp, around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Two others were taken to Christchurch Hospital, one in serious condition and one with moderate injuries.
Kimberley McKinlay said she was “completely devastated” by the death of her partner.

“We will all be truly heartbroken forever.
“His sons loved him: two boys, Cayleb and Jacob, and his stepdaughter Savannah.”
McKinlay said Furze was a passenger in the car when the “horrible” accident occurred.
She wanted the driver to be held accountable.
“I cannot forgive them for what they have done.”
Furze was her best friend, “my rock, my everything,” and her life had “changed forever,” she said.
“It is very sad that he did not deserve to go like this … he just got out of jail and was changing his life for the better for his children.
“He was a hardworking, kind and loving man with whom we made many memories,” she said.
Police were continuing to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones,” they said in a statement.
