The new cases come from all over the world: Canada, the United States, South Africa, the Netherlands, India and the United Kingdom. The origins of a traveler are unknown.

Meanwhile, starting at midnight tonight, people returning to New Zealand from higher-risk countries, including the UK and the US, will need to undergo an additional Covid-19 test on day zero or the first day back to New Zealand.
