KFC confirms the launch of KFConsole as rival of PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X

When KFC taunted fans in July with a video promoting a KFC game console complete with a “chicken camera,” many people assumed it was just a clever marketing stunt.

But the fast food giant has now surprised everyone by stating that the product is actually real and that while you can’t fry your chicken inside the console, you can keep your pre-cooked KFC warm while you play.

However, KFC has not announced any information on how or where players can get their hands on the item.

In a tweet on Tuesday, the official KFCGaming Twitter account revealed that KFConsole is real and not a hoax.

The product, which looks a bit like a deep fryer, promises “cross-platform compatibility” and true 4K resolution with 120 frames per second of gameplay for gamers.

With fans confused about how a console can safely cook chicken, KFC confirmed that the console does not cook chicken, but it does keep precooked chicken warm.

The KFC console is the result of the launch of the latest PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

KFCGaming’s Twitter account has been inundated with comments, with some still wondering if it is a real product.

“I’m confused. Is this really a joke or is it real?” a questioned user.

Another user commented: “It’s … it’s real … is this really the note 2020 will end on? After all the madness they’ve already thrown at us? Just when we think the world can’t turn anymore strange?”

One user said, “It’s probably just a KFC-branded pre-built custom PC.”

Another said, “It’s a real thing that exists in the world” and another user commented, “I can finally play with my food!”

“OMG I need this in my life,” commented another.

One Twitter user said, “Where do I register? I need one of these in my life.”

KFC is known for performing marketing stunts, including fans over a KFC chicken computer keyboard with a chicken thigh mouse.

Other stunts include a KFC fried chicken scented sunscreen, KFC nail polish that tastes like fried chicken, and KFC Crocs shoes.
