The Ministry of Health has reported ten new cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand during the last two days.

All of today’s new cases were found at the border.

One person arrived from the Netherlands, one from Italy, two from the United States, two traveling separately from India, one from Germany, and two from the United Kingdom via different routes. The final travel itinerary for the new case is still being confirmed.

All new cases, which arrived between December 4-13, are under quarantine in Auckland or Christchurch.

As previous cases have since recovered, the total number of active Covid-19 cases in New Zealand is 51.

New Zealand has had 1,754 confirmed cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.

More than 1.36 million tests for the virus have been conducted in New Zealand.

The government’s Covid Tracer now has 2.41 million registered users.

Today’s information was provided for the past two days as the Ministry of Health is reducing the frequency with which it provides updates.
