Joan Todd died in hospital one day after being hit by a car at a crosswalk on Trafalgar St, Nelson.
The woman who died after being hit in a Nelson crosswalk earlier this month was named.
Joan Todd, 85, was struck by a car while crossing at the intersection of Trafalgar and Bridge St at noon on December 3 and was rushed to hospital with “critical” injuries, police said.
He died in the hospital the next day.

Police said their “condolences go out to his family and loved ones at this time.” Investigations into the circumstances of the collision were ongoing.
Nelson Mayor Rachel Reese said in the days after the accident she was “deeply saddened” by the news.
“My condolences to all those affected by this tragedy. My heart goes out to you, especially with the time before Christmas. “
He thanked two members of Nelson’s council staff who were on site and “helped right after.”
