Black Caps bowlers Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson have become Wisden’s World Test Team of the Year following their outstanding performances against the West Indies.
The 2020 rising New Zealand cricket star has joined Kane Williamson and Tim Southee in a World Test XI, chosen by a leading cricket publication.
After an impressive introduction to test cricket against India and the West Indies at home, Kyle Jamieson was named along with his captain and senior swing pitcher to Wisden’s website test team of the year.
Given that Covid-19 wiped out a large amount of international cricket in 2020, it is a small sample size, but there is no room for the two best batsmen in the world, Steve Smith and Virat Kohli, or Australian Pat Cummins, the best player in test bowling.
