A man was arrested at an airport in the United States after he ran to the runway and got on the wing of a plane that was waiting to take off.
The incident occurred Saturday at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
The Alaska Airlines plane was about to take off when the pilot saw a man running toward the plane. US officials believe he had scaled a perimeter fence.
Video of the passengers on the plane shows the man on the wing. At one point he takes off his shoes and socks as he tries to climb the wingtip. When the agents approach him, he falls down and is arrested. Police say he was not seriously injured and believe the man may be suffering from mental illness.

“At around 2 pm PST, Alaska Airlines Flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing to take off when the pilot noticed an individual moving toward the aircraft,” Alaska Airlines said in a statement.
“The pilots notified the tower. The police were dispatched and were able to arrest the individual. Our guests and employees are safe and we are working with law enforcement. The plane has returned to the gate for a full inspection. “
The plane finally took off four hours late.
