The police have not yet located those responsible.
Hastings Mayor Sandra Hazlehurst said safety is a priority for the community and the council is doing everything possible to support safety efforts.
“We work very closely with our partner agencies, such as the police and Safer Hastings.”
Hazlehurst said the council had also invested in an “extensive CCTV and City Assist network.”
“We also work closely with community groups like neighborhood watches and community patrols, all of which help keep our people safe.”
