Woman reports catching intruder while recording dance video on TikTok

Police arrested a man after a woman in the United States said she captured an intruder on video entering her apartment while recording herself dancing.

Hannah Viverette wrote on her Instagram page that she was dancing in her Hagerstown, Maryland apartment on November 22 when she heard her balcony door open.

Viverette said that when he went to close it, he saw a man trying to force open the door. She wrote that she recognized the man as someone who had been watching her from her truck and added that she feared for his safety when she came face to face with him.

Viverette said he ran to a neighbor’s apartment and called 911. A photo posted on his Instagram account shows a man standing inside his balcony door, he also posted the video on his TikTok account accompanied by the hashtag “scariestmomentofmylife ”.

Hagerstown police said on their Facebook page that officers obtained the video of Viverette and after an investigation identified the suspect as 36-year-old Ángel Moisés Rodríguez-Gómez. He was arrested on November 24 and multiple charges were filed, including second-degree assault, stalking and malicious destruction of property.

Rodríguez-Gómez was released on unsecured bond and it is not known if he has an attorney.
