Police are looking for a man and a woman in the death of a 37-year-old man in Wellsford, north of Auckland, over the weekend.

Desmond Lawrence Bourne, 45, is charged with fatally shooting Rodney Zane Smith’s man on Saturday, Detective Inspector Scott Beard said in a statement today.
Smith was found dead in a vehicle on Wayby Station Road after receiving a gunshot wound Saturday night. The two men knew each other.
Police are also seeking to locate Bourne’s associate, Serene Tilsley, 21, who has an arrest warrant in connection with the matter.

Investigators are also requesting sightings of a black 2005 Ford Falcon saloon, registration CTS862, that was seen in Pakuranga on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 29, Beard said.
This week, police have followed up on a number of reports of possible sightings, with inquiries made in multiple directions throughout the Auckland region.

“The investigation team will continue to do everything possible to locate Bourne so that he can be held accountable,” Beard said.
“We appeal to Bourne to hand himself over to him so this can be resolved without further incident.”

Bourne is considered dangerous and members of the public have been warned not to approach him, but to contact 111 immediately.
