Police are calling for sightings of a black Range Rover.
Police located a vehicle of interest after a man was found dead inside a vehicle in Wellsford, north of Auckland.
A homicide investigation was launched after police were called to the scene of a shooting around 7:45 p.m. Saturday, Detective Inspector Scott Beard said.
A man was found dead inside a vehicle on Wayby Station Rd, after sustaining a gunshot wound.
On Sunday, Beard said police would like anyone who knows or has seen a black Range Rover KBK990, or its occupants in the Rodney or Northland area in recent days, to contact police.

Anyone with information about the Range Rover is asked to contact the police.
The detective inspector said there are currently no indications that the shooting is related to gang activity or any current investigation at Tāmaki Makarau.
“The police investigation team is working hard to solve this murder and has offered support to the relatives and friends of the deceased.”
A post-mortem examination would take place on Monday and police hoped to formally identify the victim at that time.
