A suspected Covid-19 case visited Resene ColorShop in Mt Roskill on Friday, November 20, prompting the store to close for a cleaning and staff testing.

An Auckland Resene colorful shop has been forced to close its doors and staff self-isolate after a person suspected of having a Covid-19 visit.

On Facebook, Resene reported that a person suspected of having Covid-19 visited the Mt Roskill store, on Carr Rd, between 11:45 am and 12:15 pm on Friday, November 20.

On advice from the Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS), staff were being screened and isolated until they received a negative result.

No Resene personnel were showing symptoms, according to the publication.

Customers who visited the store at this time were considered to be “very low risk” and were not required to take the test or self-isolate unless they developed symptoms, the publication said, ARPHS reported.

The store would be closed “for the next few days” and would be cleaned before reopening.

It comes after health authorities said the locations an Air New Zealand crew member visited with Covid-19 were under investigation.

On Tuesday, the Health Ministry warned that anyone going to the Animates Manukau pet supply store on Saturday, November 21 between 1:22 PM and 2:11 PM should get tested.

The crew member also visited a few other stores briefly, and staff were asked to self-isolate at home or get tested if they develop symptoms, the ministry said Tuesday.
