House shot yesterday in Auckland’s Ōtara, the fifth incident in two days | 1 NEWS

Another house in Ōtara, south Auckland, was shot yesterday, the fifth similar incident in the past two days.

Police told 1 NEWS that they received a report about the shooting on Bairds Rd yesterday at 10:05 pm.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.

“Those believed to be responsible left the scene in a vehicle shortly after,” police said.

Police said investigations are continuing into the incident, including whether or not it is linked to other recent firearm incidents.

The incident is the fifth of its kind since Friday in West Auckland and Ōtara.

At 5:20 pm yesterday, a similar incident was reported to the police on Archibald St in Kelston, West Auckland.

At 2.24pm, also yesterday, the police were at another shooting incident on Preston Rd, Ōtara.

On Friday, there were two shooting incidents.

Two houses were shot and wrecked cars on the corner of Ivon and Capstick Rd, also in Ōtara.
