A mother was heard screaming outside her home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs after allegedly stabbing her own son.
A mother accused of stabbing her own son multiple times at her family’s home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs screamed “I love you” as she was escorted into the back of a police van.
Officers were called to a home on Drumalbyn Rd in Bellevue Hill just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday, where they found Hugo Ball, 22, with life-threatening injuries.
New South Wales ambulance inspector Giles Buchanan said Ball had extremely low blood pressure, suggesting he had lost a lot of blood.
“The location of the injuries can certainly be fatal,” he said.
His 55-year-old mother, Samantha Palmer, was arrested at the home and taken to the Waverley Police Station, where she spent 13 hours before being charged with injuring someone with the intent to cause serious bodily harm.
She could be heard yelling “I love you” as authorities carried her into the back of a police van.
“I’m the mother of this child, for God’s sake,” Palmer was heard saying.
He was denied bail and will be in court on Sunday.
They took a knife from the house.
