Rudy Giuliani blew up a reporter for “lying” during a fiery Q&A with reporters, where he accused the media of exposing Donald Trump’s lawyers to death threats through “ridiculous” coverage.

The former mayor of New York berated the assembled media during the 90-minute press conference at the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington DC on Thursday afternoon (Friday NZT), where the Trump campaign presented radical and unproven allegations. of a massive voter fraud scheme to steal Joe Biden’s election.

Towards the end of the session, where fellow Trump campaign attorney Jenna Ellis also unloaded on the “fake” press, Giuliani exploded with a “rude” reporter, who continued to speak about him while trying to answer his question.

“We’ve seen a lot of your lawsuits and in fact the lawyers have been dropping like flies, what do you say to people who call this a ‘Russiagate 2.0’ right on the other side? Jenn Dize said.

“What fake network are you coming from?” Giuliani asked.

“I don’t have a permanent network, in fact I’m completely independent,” Dize said.

“Oh my gosh. Well, our cases haven’t been thrown out in the first place. We just have …” Giuliani said.

Dize interrupted, beginning to say that “more than 20” cases had been ruled out.

“It’s not our case, ma’am,” Giuliani said. “Don’t lie to people.”

He continued to argue his point as Giuliani spoke.

“Madam, ma’am, ma’am, you’re lying,” he said.

“You’re lying. You’re lying. Oh, keep lying, I’m not … Madam. Madam. Madam. Madam. Madam. Madam. Okay. Let me answer the question. Let me answer the question.”

Taking some air, Giuliani said the answer to the question was “we don’t have many demands, we only have three.”

“Our demands have not been abandoned everywhere,” he said, prompting further objections from Dize.

“Okay, you are a totally impolite person, I’ll finish my answer,” Giuliani said.

“The fact is that we have very few lawsuits, the lawsuits you are talking about have been filed by individuals and groups, most of them were dismissed for lack of legitimacy, probably with good reason, because they were filed before the elections. the election is over. “

Giuliani said the only lawsuit the campaign had dropped was one in Michigan, because “we got the relief we wanted.”

He was referring to a case seeking to delay certification of results, which was dropped after two Republican election officials said they wanted to overturn their decision to certify Wayne County due to unexplained irregularities.

“We also have another lawsuit in Michigan that will accomplish the other goals of what we want to do in Michigan, so it’s silly to have two competing lawsuits,” Giuliani said.

“The only lawyer who left a case, left because they threatened him, his family was threatened, his children were threatened and so was the other lawyer. Yes, it’s true, we have a bit of difficulty finding lawyers, because our lawyers are threatened with Get killed. For the ridiculous way you cover this, and the ridiculous way you cover … “

Dize started to object.

“I’m not talking about you, I’m talking about everyone, but I have a good sense of the way you handle yourself, how you cover it,” Giuliani said. “Okay, we’re done with you now.”

When asked by another journalist if the Trump campaign would continue to “lengthen” the process, Giuliani said former Vice President Al Gore “had much more time than we had” when he refused to budge for 37 days in 2000.

Giuliani defended not presenting more evidence for the media, saying “if we are going to present things in court, if we present them to them, the judges are not going to be very happy with us.”

“And finally, I must tell you that our witnesses do not want to be exposed to the tender mercies of a vicious press,” he said.

“I had great difficulties to get those witnesses that I revealed to allow me to do it; they don’t trust you, they don’t like you, they think you put their lives in danger with the twist you give to what is happening here and the injustice with that you cover it. It’s not easy to reveal the things they tell me. “

Giuliani said he “cannot do it” because the lives of the witnesses would be “in danger.”

“That’s because of the hysterical way he’s covered Donald Trump and his administration,” he said.

“But we’re going to change all of that. We’re going to go to court, we’re going to prove it in court. I’d love to give you all the information I have, except that most of you wouldn’t. Cover it.”

Trump’s campaign attorney Harmeet Dhillon made similar comments on Fox News earlier this week, saying that attorneys for host Tucker Carlson had been harassed for representing the president, including by other attorneys.

“Every attorney associated with the Trump campaign, even as a spokesperson, as I have been, receives death threats, receives incredible abuse from partners in major law firms,” he said.

“I mean, I have received abuse on my Facebook page by managing partners of law firms in San Francisco accusing me of heinous crimes. They represent real criminals. Some of these attorneys in this case have 24 hour security now. They have death threats. Their offices have been closed. It’s disgusting. “
