The Chase has the Dark Destroyer, the Beast, the Governess, the Fox, and the Sinnerman, and now a new Hunter has made his television game show debut.
Darragh Ennis is from Ireland and a neuroscientist, reports The Sun. She first appeared on the show as a contestant in 2017, and her general knowledge skills greatly impressed Paul Sinha.
Ennis appeared as Chaser for the first time on the game show on UK screens. It was first announced that he would be joining the show in April of this year.
Host Bradley Walsh, who hosted the latest edition of the show, gave it his nickname: The Menace.
Ennis said he is excited to join the program: “I am very happy to be the sixth Hunter. It is brilliant to be on such an incredible test team and it is so much fun working with Bradley Walsh. It is such an exciting opportunity and I can not wait to face more contestants! “
Walsh said, “Another Chaser? ANOTHER CHASER? That’s someone else smarter than me at The Chase. I need to talk to the producers. But I can’t wait to educate Darragh on the important things in life: custard, movies of cowboys and real beer. “
In his 2017 run on the show, he made £ 9,000 ($ 18,000) for his team, but his teammates accepted negative offers, meaning he actually walked away with less. There were protests on social media over his losses, and fans even started a GoFundMe page for him.
The Vixen, who spoke to Radio Times, said the Chase family is excited to expand their ranks.
“He was one of our most famous, viral former contestants that a lot of people will remember. A lot of people thought he was made too hard by his other contestants.”
Diehard Chase fans shared their excitement on social media when the new quizmaster was revealed:
