US Elections: Will Ivanka, Don Jr, Eric Trump Run For President In 2024?

With her father seemingly about to leave, Ivanka Trump appears to be looking for a future career in politics, but for ordinary Republican voters, Donald Trump’s golden son can be a hard pill to swallow.

The 39-year-old man, the president’s second child with his first wife, Ivana, is one of his four adult children, along with Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany, now running as potential candidates for 2024.

Trump, who has so far refused to give in to Joe Biden and vowed to fight the “rigged” election in court, has previously said that his oldest daughter would be “very, very hard to beat” if he ever wanted to run for president.

But according to The Times, experts suggest there is a limited appetite for an Ivanka 2024 deal.

“Whether she was or not, she was always assumed to be the ‘moderating influence’ (on her father), which doesn’t make you very popular with the average Republican voter,” The Atlantic political writer McKay Coppins told Newspaper.

“There are not many people asking for Ivanka to run.”

Critics within the White House dubbed Ivanka “HABI,” or “the home of all bad ideas,” while her husband Jared Kushner was dubbed “secretary of everything” for his extensive meddling, investigative journalist Vicky wrote. Ward in a book about the couple last year.

Trump’s rank-and-file animosity toward “Javanka” was epitomized by the couple’s fiery relationship with Steve Bannon, the former chief strategist who left the White House after a fight with his boss in 2017.

In Ward’s book, Bannon recalls clashing with the couple when he tried to turn the rhetoric of Trump’s nationalist campaign into government policy, describing Kushner as a “cursed demon.”

He also claimed to have told Ivanka to “fuck you … you’re nothing” in front of his father during a discussion about who was the biggest media leaker, and Ivanka reportedly called him a “bloody”. liar”.

The day after Biden declared victory, CNN reported that Kushner had reached out to his father-in-law to concede, a story many hoped had been leaked by the couple as an image-saving measure.

Andrea Bernstein, author of American Oligarchs: The Kushner, the Trump, and the Marriage of Money and Power, told The Times that Ivanka’s photos on social media, with military personnel, blue-collar workers, women and ethnic minorities, were a sign that she was contemplating a 2024 race.

“You see someone who is very careful to surround himself with the kinds of images that could be the basis of a political campaign in the future,” he said.

“She is in every way like her father, except that she is incredibly disciplined in her messages. I can certainly imagine a scenario where she presents herself as the Trump without the rough edges.”

Among Trump’s sons, it is the cheeky Don Jr who most resembles his father.

“There is no question that Donald Jr. wants to have a future in the Republican Party and sees himself as the heir apparent,” Coppins told The Times.

“He is the one who inherited much of the MAGA base from Trump, who speaks the language of Trump.”

The 42-year-old divorced father of five is the most outspoken and controversial of his siblings, and the one who creates the most problems. Last year, he told Fox News that his father sometimes had to convince him when he was “getting a little hot on social media.”

Meanwhile, Eric Trump, the often overshadowed younger brother who was left in charge of running the Trump Organization, has echoed his father’s unproven claims of voter fraud.

The 36-year-old is expected to focus on the family business rather than the fallout from the elections, but his wife, Lara Trump, 38, has been singled out as a potential dark horse for a political career, following her regular television appearances during the campaign in defense of his father-in-law.

“Lara is very nice, very articulate,” Republican fundraiser Jack Oliver told The Times. “He was an extraordinary star on Fox News almost every night on behalf of the president’s agenda.”

That only leaves 27-year-old Tiffany Trump, Trump’s only daughter with his second wife Marla Maples, who recently graduated from law school and hinted during her speech at the Republican National Convention that she was struggling to find a job.

“We believe in equal opportunities. We believe in freedom of thought and expression,” he said.

“We believe in school choice, because a child’s zip code in America should not determine his future. We believe in freedom of religion for all religions and we believe in the American spirit. Because in America his life is yours. to trace it.
