Hannah Barrett to donate breast milk to moms and babies in need

The Barretts plan to make a breast milk donation to mothers in need.

Hannah Barrett, All Black Beauden Barrett’s wife, posted a video on Instagram showing her freezer full of frozen bags of expressed milk.

“I have a bit of oversupply,” he said.

“I’m going to donate to … Mothers Milk NZ, for moms who would love some breast milk, so they can go to a good home.”

Mothers Milk NZ was delighted with the video.

“Words cannot describe how grateful we are to you Hannah for highlighting the need for more donor milk for our recipient babies,” she said in an Instagram post in response to Barrett.

The charitable foundation works to make pasteurized donor milk available to all babies, including the most vulnerable, when breast milk is not available.

“So that we can give our full-term, sick and premature babies the best start in life when they need it most.”

The trust said it desperately needed more donors with about 60 babies in need of milk.
