Police at a home on Happy Valley Rd, Owhiro Bay, linked to the $ 5 million drug bust.

Five million dollars worth of fantasy drugs and “bath salts” were found by police during armed raids on property on Wellington’s south coast and elsewhere in the city on Friday morning.

Police conducted raids on seven properties in what was dubbed Operation Skipjack, a two-month police investigation.

Police, including the Armed Offenders Squad, found over 400 liters of GBL, which the Drug Foundation claimed was a more potent version of GBH or Fantasy.

There were also 20 alleged imports of the drug known as bath salts.

Two people were arrested, police said.

Nearby Owhiro Bay School was unaware of the Owhiro Bay raid, just feet from its front door.
