The New Yorker parted ways with veteran writer Jeffrey Toobin after he reportedly exposed himself during a Zoom conference last month. He had already been suspended and is also off CNN, where he has been a legal commentator.
“Today I was fired by @NewYorker after 27 years as a copywriter. I will always love the magazine, miss my colleagues and look forward to reading their work, ”Toobin tweeted on Wednesday (NZT Thursday).
The magazine had previously announced that “as a result of our investigation, Jeffrey Toobin is no longer affiliated with the company.”
Toobin, 60, had been with the New Yorker for more than 20 years, writing about everything from the OJ Simpson murder trial to President Donald Trump’s impeachment hearings.
