A US postal worker reportedly “ fully retracts ” claims of vote manipulation, but responds by saying that is not what happened.

Outgoing US President Donald Trump has taken another massive blow as questions revolve around one of his main electoral fraud arguments, which has reportedly disintegrated.

The Republican Party incumbent has been crying badly since his opponent Joe Biden emerged as the winner of the election during the weekend after the Nov. 3 vote.

The Democratic Party presidential candidate so far has garnered 290 electoral college votes to claim victory, and while three states – Alaska, Georgia and North Carolina – still count, they won’t make a difference to the bottom line. A candidate must get 270 votes from the electoral college to claim victory, and Trump only has 214.

Since then, Trump has made a series of allegations of voter fraud and has repeatedly claimed that his rivals were trying to “steal” the election.

One of the main “proofs” of the Trump team was allegations of ballot tampering made by US postal worker Richard Hopkins.

In a signed affidavit, alleged Hopkins Postmaster Rob Weisenbach of Erie, Pennsylvania, told staff to roll back votes that had actually been cast after Election Day, which would be a violation of the rules.

His claims were published by Project Veritas, a far-right activist group whose founder James O’Keefe described him as “an American hero.”

But at the time, Weisenbach rejected the allegations, posting on Facebook that they were “100% false” and that they had been made “by an employee who was recently disciplined multiple times.”

However, an official investigation was launched in response to Hopkins’ explosive claims, but according to the Washington Post, the 32-year-old has now admitted that his claims were false.

They cited three officials who said Hopkins had signed an affidavit retracting his allegations for the Office of the Inspector General of the US Postal Service.

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have posted the news on Twitter, claiming that Hopkins has “completely retracted” the allegations made in his “false affidavit.”

Hopkins declined to comment to the Washington Post, but in the meantime, Project Veritas responded by posting a tweet and footage claiming that federal agents tried to “coerce” Hopkins to “dilute” his story.

And in a YouTube video posted by the organization, Hopkins pressured the Washington Post to “retract” his story, claiming that “that is not what happened” and that he “did not retract” his comments.

However, the suggestion that Hopkins has retracted his original allegations has sparked a wave of fury among Americans who are growing increasingly frustrated by the Trump team’s refusal to concede.

The 74-year-old has been constantly tweeting a series of fraud allegations on Twitter, many of which have received a warning from the social media platform that “this claim about voter fraud is in dispute.”

“I don’t care what state it’s in, this computer voting system is highly exposed to fraud and intervention. Trump posted Wednesday afternoon.

But Trump supporters have taken the strange and changing story as further “proof” that the election was rigged.
