National leader Judith Collins split the financial portfolio in half and demoted the last two party leaders in her first shakeup after a devastating electoral defeat.
Paul Goldsmith has lost his finance role and rocketed down the rankings from 3 to 12 after his bug-ridden pre-election budget.
Replacing Goldsmith in finance are two people: Andrew Bayly as the shadow Treasurer and Michael Woodhouse as the shadow Finance Minister. Bayly is ranked higher than Woodhouse.

Bayly also gets Chris Bishop’s infrastructure portfolio.
Former leaders Todd Muller and Simon Bridges have also been demoted.
Bridges has downsized the foreign affairs portfolio down three spots to 7, maintaining the justice portfolio.
Muller has fallen further from 6 to 19, but kept the business portfolio.

Collins herself has taken on a new technology, manufacturing and artificial intelligence portfolio, as well as the Pacific Peoples portfolio, while maintaining the national security portfolio.
Louise Upston has risen from 9 to 5 on the rankings, adding Whanau Ora and Land Information to her Social Development and Social Investment portfolios.
Nicola Willis lost her education to Goldsmith, but took over the housing, a portfolio she briefly held with Todd Muller.
High-profile newcomer Christopher Luxon hasn’t shot to the front bench, coming in essentially unranked at the bottom and with Iwi’s Local Government and Development portfolios.
Collins was reconfirmed as leader on Tuesday in a vote of confidence despite the outcome of the election, in which the party won 23 fewer seats than in 2017.
On Tuesday a new unopposed party MP was also elected: roster MP Shane Reti, who will remain as the party’s health spokesperson, and picks up Children.
Former Vice President Gerry Brownlee resigned from that post, but not from Parliament.
It’s the party’s third major shakeup this year, after a shakeup when Todd Muller became leader and another when Collins became leader.
National’s “shadow cabinet” will place deputies in each of the main ministerial portfolios, in addition to classifying the party.
