A bus in Auckland ran off the road and crashed into a tree, and emergency services are faced with a difficult task to get it out.

No one was injured or trapped in the accident, which occurred around 7 p.m. Monday.

A Fire & Emergency spokesperson said a team was cleaning “a small amount” of oil from the road.

The bus lost control on Riddell Rd in Glendowie and crashed through a barrier, fell off a ledge and fell into a tree.

Surprisingly, no one was injured and emergency services were pulling the vehicle out.

Video captured by Aucklander Laura O’Gorman a few hours earlier showed lightning striking the ground near her friend’s property in St. Heliers.

O’Gorman parked his Tesla Model S outside and went to pick up his five-year-old daughter when he heard “a massive boom.”

The car’s monitoring system captured the explosion.

No one was injured, but the power went out on her friend’s property, she said.
