US Elections: Newspapers Destroy Trump’s Tantrums After Loss To Joe Biden

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, hates a critical headline, so he will not be happy that the covers are shared around the world.

Newspapers have reacted with humor and disdain to Trump’s tantrums following his loss to Democratic challenger Joe Biden.

Even members of Trump’s own family and his wife Melania are trying to convince him to give in.

Metro in the UK went with “Trump the Grumpy”, while various other outlets chose to publish photos of Trump pouting.

Unsurprisingly, many opted for the infamous “You’re fired” phrase from his time as the star of The Apprentice.

Others have been more moderate with their coverage. The Daily Telegraph in the UK simply ran the headline “Pressure Mounting on Trump to Quietly”.

Many readers have noted that some outlets have been rushing forward or are distributing news about Trump’s reaction further back in the newspaper.

Some former editors have used the US election result as an opportunity to revisit the old front pages, notably Jeff Jarvis, who was the Sunday editor of the New York Daily News.

He shared pages from a 30-year-old issue that labeled Trump a “past.”

After Biden’s victory, the German news magazine Der Spiegel recreated its controversial 2017 cover, with Trump holding the decapitated head of the Statue of Liberty.

The new cover was done by the same artist, showing Biden putting Lady Liberty head in place alongside Trump’s catchphrase “Make America Great Again.”
