Clarke Gayford, who is not the type to show affection on social media, couldn’t help it today as her fiancée Jacinda Ardern was officially sworn in as New Zealand Prime Minister for the second time.

Gayford attended the ceremony at the Beehive in Wellington this morning, along with Ardern’s parents and sister, as well as members of his family.

“It was nice to have our two families in town for the official appointment of the new government this morning,” he wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of him and Ardern together.

“While the last 3 years have been a bit blurry, there are still times like this where I wonder how the hell I ended up here hooked on @jacindaardern express,” he added.

The Prime Minister published a photo of the new Government after the official confirmation ceremony, followed by a photo of the new Cabinet before its first meeting.

In her Instagram Stories, she posted a family photo of herself, with her mother, father, and sister, on the Beehive.

Ardern and the other government ministers were sworn in at the Beehive this morning, taking oaths or affirmations during a ceremony at Government House.

The general government Dame Patsy Reddy, who led the ceremony, said that the formation of a new government is always a “momentous” moment for the country.

Ardern took an oath of allegiance: “I, Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern, solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm that I will be faithful and maintain true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her heirs and successors, in accordance with the law. . “
