Customers at an Auckland restaurant are being warned to watch out for Covid-19 symptoms after a person who has since tested positive for the virus went there while infectious.
The Health Ministry announced that there was a new case of Covid-19 in the Auckland community shortly after 8pm on Friday.
The person works at the Jet Park quarantine facility in Māngere.
The person had eaten brunch at Mezze Bar on Thursday before visiting a liquor store on Queen St.
The ministry said that anyone who was at the Mezze Bar between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday is considered a casual contact. They should watch for symptoms and get tested if they don’t feel well.
The Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) said the person ate dinner alone and no close contacts had been identified at the restaurant.
After leaving the restaurant, the person went to Liquor.Com on Queen St for 15 minutes around 1:30 PM.
Those who visited the bottle shop between 1:00 p.m. M. And 2:00 p.m. M. They are also casual contacts and should be aware of symptoms.
