Donald Trump has targeted rockers and sports icons in a meandering speech on the battlefield state of Pennsylvania.
During the speech, President Trump went through a list of celebrities he doesn’t like.
“What about basketball? What about LeBron? I felt bad for LeBron, I felt really bad. I was down 71 percent. I didn’t see a shot, I get bored, back and forth, back and forth.” he said.
“You know why? When they don’t respect our country, when they don’t respect our flag, nobody wants to look. No one.
“And the NFL is way down. The NFL is way down. You have to defend our flag. You have to be really great with our flag and our anthem, and if you don’t do that, we are ‘not looking.’
The crowd erupted into a chant of “LeBron James Sucks.”
“What a crowd. What a crowd!” Trump commented.
The NBA offense here was to let their teams protest in solidarity with Black Lives Matter.
The league’s viewership ratings dropped significantly this year, although I don’t think we should feel too bad about LeBron, who won his fourth championship.
Trump’s riff drew a lighthearted response from Chicago, which of course was the home of Michael Jordan.
Next on the chart was Lady Gaga, who campaigned with Joe Biden today.
“Now he has Lady Gagaaa. Lady Gagaaa. Not too good,” Trump said.
The crowd scoffed in response.
“I could tell you many stories. I could tell you stories about Lady Gaga. I know many stories about Lady Gaga.
And Jon Bon Jovi! Every time I see him, he kisses my ass. ‘Oh oh, Mr. President.’ He’ll get something out of it, like everyone else.
“But do you know what happens? You bring some of these, by the way, we draw crowds much bigger than these people. But do you know what happens? He will sing a song or two, and then he will leave, and the crowd will go , and the sleepy Joe will be talking. ”Then, he dialed more celebrities, and pronounced Beyonce’s name in a strange way.
“That happened to Hillary too, right? They took Beyonsee. And Jay-Z.”
Trump has said that “we’re going to go to our lawyers” as soon as the polls close in Pennsylvania and spoke disturbingly about the Supreme Court’s decision to grant an extension to count the votes after Tuesday.
“They made a very dangerous situation, and I mean dangerous, physically dangerous, and they made it very, very bad, they did something very bad for this state,” Trump declared.
He said of Pennsylvania’s Democratic Governor Tom Wolf, “Please don’t cheat because we’re all watching you. We’re all watching you, Governor.”
