More shots have been fired in a West Auckland direction at the center of a previous firearms incident.
Two people were detained after the first incident on Keegan Drive, Massey, around noon Monday, which forced an elementary school to close.
On Tuesday, Detective Sergeant Major Megan Goldie of the Waitematā Criminal Investigation Branch said eight more shots were fired at off-site vehicles around 2 a.m.
The armed police again went to the address and searched it.

“No one was located at the address and at this time we are not aware of anyone being injured as a result of this incident,” Goldie said.
He said an examination of the scene was underway, along with officers touring the Massey area.

Police spoke with the two detainees on Monday. Since then, one had been arrested for an “unrelated matter,” Goldie said.
Leisha Byrnes, principal of Lincoln Heights School, said Monday that police advised the school to close around noon on Monday.
It was the second time this year the school had been closed after it was closed in July following the shooting of Officer Matthew Hunt, which occurred just a few hundred meters away.
A police cordon was lifted shortly before 2.30 pm and parents were allowed to pick up their children from school.

Police cars could be seen outside Lincoln Heights School on Monday.
“Our investigations into both incidents continue at this time and we cannot rule out the possibility of further arrests or charges.
“This will undoubtedly be of concern to the families who live nearby and to the community at large,” Goldie said.
“The police are taking these incidents seriously and today there are numerous lines of investigation underway.
“Today residents will notice an increased police presence on Keegan Drive and wider areas of Massey as part of our investigation.”
Anyone who has witnessed suspicious activity before or after 2 a.m. in the Massey area is asked to come forward.
