We had a fake Melania, why not a fake Kamala?

Possibly the strangest thing to happen Monday, controversial US Congressional candidate Laura Loomer has posted a video claiming to show a Kamala Harris impersonator chatting with voters.

Loomer, a far-right activist who has been banned from social media for anti-Muslim comments, is running in Donald Trump’s home district, and the president confirmed that he voted “pure Republican” when he cast his own ballot last week.

The video shot by Loomer, which should obviously be treated with extreme skepticism, shows a woman dressed as the Democratic vice presidential candidate flanked by two people in cheap black suits arriving at a Palm Beach polling place.

“You were amazing yesterday,” says a man wearing a Biden-Harris T-shirt. “Thank you, thank you very much,” says the woman, posing for a selfie.

“That is not Kamala Harris,” says Loomer. “That doesn’t even look like her. She’s not Kamala Harris. She doesn’t look like her at all.”

When the woman and her two companions leave, Loomer continues to film them and says, “It is very misleading for voters to send body doubles. Very misleading. She is a fake Kamala Harris.”

The obvious question is what is the possible reason why Democrats would have to hire a Kamala Harris impersonator to make it look like she’s somewhere she isn’t, when a simple Google search would uncover them.

Assuming the video is genuine, it could be some kind of a Borat-style dark joke. Or, as some on social media suggested, Loomer could have arranged everything to draw attention to herself.
