Uber Eats customers have struggled to order the food they want in Christchurch.
“Uber is aware of a technical outage on the Uber Eats platform in Christchurch and is working to get services back to normal as quickly as possible,” the company said in a statement.
But he denied that there was also a problem in Auckland.
Global outage tracking website DownWatch showed that Auckland’s Uber Eats service was also having problems, but Uber Eats said its Auckland platform was operating normally.

Some Christchurch users have found that their favorite cafes and restaurants have been tagged “currently unavailable” when they try to use the Uber Eats app to order food.
Uber Eats launched in New Zealand in March 2017, starting in Auckland and delivering on-demand restaurant meals to homes and offices.
The company had launched its services in San Francisco a year earlier.
In September 2017 it expanded to Wellington and launched to Christchurch in October 2017.
It’s not universally loved, and TV news anchor Hilary Barry vowed in April to remove the Uber Eats app from her phone after learning of the cut Uber Eats takes on every order.
